Q. Are you an estate agent or property developer?
A. We are neither. We are an independent agent, acting solely on your behalf to find a property or manage your purchase, whether you are buying for investment or resettlement.

Q. How do you find the properties?
A. We have established links with estate agents throughout the UK. Because we ensure that you are mortgage approved and fully prepared, they often give priority to our clients. In some cases they will accept a lower offer, because they know they are dealing with a professional company with a client who is committed to completing the purchase.

Q. Why should I pay for a service when I can do it myself?
A. Our fees are calculated on what you could realistically expect to spend doing it yourself.
Anyone who has ever tried to look for a house before, will be able to tell you that you can spend months going through papers, looking in estate agents windows at weekends and not find what you are looking for.
Time is money, trying to do it yourself is a false economy, finding property is our business. Forces Homes are dedicated to finding you a suitable property, in the shortest possible time, taking away the stress of home buying and travelling expenses.

Q. Can I use my LSAP
(Long Service Advance of Pay Scheme)?

will provide you with the information you require) and hand it into your
admin office, once they arrive at Gosport it is in the hands of the
solicitor.

Q. What if I am on
an operational tour or posting overseas?
A.
Not a problem, providing you have a trusted family member or friend who
is prepared to sign the relevant documentation on your behalf, we will
organise a power of attorney for you, at no extra cost.

Q. What happens if after paying the deposit I decide not to go ahead or my circumstances change?
A. We are aware, as a former forces family ourselves, that circumstances do change. Forces Homes
has 3 stages to buying a house, it would depend on what stage we had
reached; this is explained in our contract and accompanying schedule. We
will charge you the minimum for our out of pocket expenses on work
already complete. If you wish to delay the process to a later, more
convenient time, depending on the situation, we can negotiate to extend
the agreement.

Q.
I have left the services/I am TA/Civil Service/UKBC/NAAFI; can I still use your service?
A. Absolutely. Forces Homes looks after
anyone, either serving or assisting military personnel, including those
who have left.

at least 3 to 4 months.
