House prices rose by 91% over the last decade even taking into account the housing crash, at the peak of the market the increase was standing at 137%.

 

So if you had bought a house for a hundred thousand 10 years ago and after the crash it was still worth £191,000 I don't think you would be disappointed.  I defy anyone to show me any other investment, when you make a purchase, sit on it for 10 years and it almost doubles in price.  Particularly when the mortgage company put in the majority of the money and if you are letting your tenants are paying the lions share of your mortgage each month!

 

Sounds like a no brainer doesn't it.
